man...did this little guy make me run around...!
This is one of my better results of a trekking that i did at Dindugal. One of my friends pointed this lizard out for me and i had to climb 2 big rocks ( i slipped and fell from one...but that didnt stop me..:) my brain was screaming - "i will get ya, you creepy little fella") and cross a small stream following him around. He can be quite elusive...! A lot of chase and silent approaches and many clicks later, i managed to get him close enough for a couple of clicks more...and so now, you are looking at Mr.Lizard from Dindugal..:)
Wildlife photography can be quite satisfying...(and painful...ouch!)

btw, the lizard was about 5 inches long and i took this shot about 4-5 feet away from him.

Hi Ranjith,
An amazing capture of this little fellow. The clarity and detail is first rate. You also have caught him nicely contrasted against the light colours. One can feel the texture of his leathery skin from here. First rate work, Ranjith. I will never snub a lizard again...

Well I get the feeling he does not like his picture taken. He has a very careful eye on you I see. Cheers Paul

Hi Ranjith. Seems like that little guy was going to make you earn any shot of him! But I'd say the extended efforts were worth it. The shallow DOF works very well here. Well done Ranjith!

Hi Ranjith,
The macro picture is very lovely, but perhaps have to the lizard completely on the photograph, you can see on TN there its the specialists in macro. But learn have to everyone.
Thanks a lot for visit.
Have a nice weekend,
John

Hi Ranjith, A very well taken macro to the little guy. I like your way of using shallow DoF in taking this picture. A very well seen and well captured portrait with nice mood and nice expression of you lizard model. An excellent contrast and great details. Well done.

Very well captured Ranjith. The texture of the skin and the colours. I never realised that wildlife photography could be such good exercise ;-) Your perseverance paid off well.

Danny

A superb macro shot of the lizard, with excellent dof, sharpness, graphism, & color. I like the orange lipstick around the mouth. She must be a female lizard. Good work!

Nice colour and DoF on this one. Sounds like you really worked for it. Obliging of your model to sit still long enough for you ot set this shot up (-:

Only comment I could make here, is that there's not much to give me any sense of scale. Not that you are thinking of such things while chasing fast moving reptiles over rocks!!

Hi Ranjith
Nice hunt and a great catch.
I like its pose.
Good DOF
It changes from your usual topic,a good thing from time to time.
Charles

very cute and colourful, great timing. Just today I was hiking ans saw one AT LEAST 1m. long, it quickly ran up a tre but I managed to get an average ophoto.

Hi Ranjith,
Looks like you were finally rewarded for going through all that trouble. Sounds like you were a real paparazzi there!
This is a very good macro shot. The DOF is excellent and so are the colors and the sharpness.
Regards, Brigitte

Hi Ranjith, you are a man of many talents this is a great image which you worked hard to get.
Well done,
Dave.

Hi Ranjith,
The textural display here is superb and the good DOF adds to the beauty of this shot. Having the head of the lizard in between the green seems to highlight its beauty even more. I also love the glittering effect of the background. Well done and a beautiful catch!! Regards.

Hi Ranjith
First of all I should thank you for going through so much of effort for capturing this image to enrich the experience of rest of us on TE .... secondly, I think that you composed it perfectly (I can'nt point out any flaws in this image) ... it is a very satisfying image I would say
Thanks for sharing ... cheers ... sarju
PS: maybe a bit of more sharpness would be nice (my taste would say)

you got very close close, did you guys exchange phone numbers? :-)))
A very good capture, and a new type of shot from you. The realization is perfect. Thumbs up for this image of a little fellow, who was not afraid of you, and indeed, shows curiosity even.

Ranjith, excellent macro picture. The colors looks saturated as i like and the ilumination is very fine. Perfect dof and very atractive animal.
Thanks
Sergio

Hi Ranjith,
Sorry for my near four weeks delay in critiques and posts to TE members, but life is life. I will make this critique to you and another to your previous one. Fine Lizzard portrait and capture you did. Nice enquadrement and angle of view. Good colors and a fine moment of wild nature life.

Well done and composed.
Fernando

Hi Ranjith,
And finally you hot him!
A beautiful find from your trekking tour, good pose of the beast,it seems that he is looking directly into the camera.Nice colors and contrasts in this shot.
Greetings,
hermann

Dear Ranjith, not only you are becoming a wildlife photographer but with a sense of humor in your note. After all that chase, Mr Lizard looked regal don't you think, keeping his head high like that.

Hey Ranjith,
what a shot, I guess I was difficutl to catch such a fast animal. You succeeded very well, it's sharpe, clear and colorful. Very well done
