Photographer’s Note
This morning was extremely beautiful. On my way from home, I cut through a park nearby, still enveloped in mist. And all of a sudden, like in a dream, in this mist a young girl appeared.
"When the child was a child
there was the time for questions like-
Why am I me
and why not you?
Why am I here
and why not there?
When did time begin
and when did space end?
Isn't life under the sun just a dream?
Isn't what I see, hear and smell
just a vision of a world before the world?
Does evil really exist?
Are there people who are really evil?
How can it be that I who is me wasn't there
before I was
and that one day I who is me
shall no longer be what I am now?"
From Wim Wenders' Himmel über Berlin/Wings of Desire

Hello Sarolta
Great capturing and a lovely composition.
Well done
I like mist shots but they are always early in the morning.
And when I see them then I’m driving to my work.

A very nice image full of poetry. All the elements in the photo appeal to me: the little girl, of course, the trees, the wonderful sun rays, the bench in the background and I think I can also spot some tracks in the grass. You should have this photograph analysed by a psychologist or dream specialist - which I am not! A wonderful shot.

GORGEOUS sun beams, the young girl edging with sunlight is a miracle, but with this kind of light I would have understood if you had even paid anybody even a dwarf (errh... sorry, the correct word is a little person) to "human prop" the image. The bench also does a very good work adding its own presence where it needs to be, I guess for this one you cannot be suspected, not enough time to order a fast delivery ACME bench.
This pic should hit the high skies.

Hi Sarolta,
I saw this picture just before quitting the office. There was no critics at that time. I did not have time to write you a critic. But I thought: "Well, this one will get a lot of critics and, hopefully, a lot of points!" Not that points are so important, but it is just to pay a tribute to beauty when we see it. Well, what to write? That this picture is an ode to light, to childhood, to morning, to beauty. Technically, good exposure, good ideas: sepia and the diagonal. Perfect...

Hi Sarolta, What an almost miraculous image! It must have been such a weird experience to see between those extra ordinary sunbeams this girl appearing through the trees, maybe like a ghost of your own childhood. The bench towards the back is the detail that emphasizes the mood of this sublime image. The sepia tones are perfectly fit. The Wenders’ quote works so well with the image and is highly appreciated too. What more can I add than: Congratulations and say thank you! Sabine

WOW!
Sarolta, I like how you always say things like "On my way to work this morning", in Ottawa, no less, this frather staid capital, and then...every single time: a magnificent image, finished with an aching professionalism that puts most of us to shame!
Dunno how you do it!
The light here is out of this world and you play with it like one of the GREATS. It's obvious from the comments by other compadres below that folks are welll...in awe at this shot, and we are happy for you, and glad for ourselves too...
Incfredible text from Wenders you slipped in there...so apt.
Class, class, class all the way!
Bravo,

Fantastic, I think we all dream about such light once in a while, and on the top of it to have it so well composed with the girl, it's truly breathtaking. In this case the tilt you have applied helps the composition and the image.
Nothing to complain, just drooling ;-)

Often we admire the images which are most filmic - it's strange isn't it - the greatest artifice in human creativity - the film, is the reference point for the most delightful captures of reality. This is just the most beautiful moment Sarolta - a real delight not just to the eye but also the soul!
Man - are you flying!!!

Hi S
Thank's for looking in to one of my shots. Unfortunately it is very difficult to catch up all activities on TE - so I had a look now to your photos. Impressive selection of very creative photos.
As this one in the moody setting with strong use of contrasting details, playing with light and of course the very effective inclusion of the littl'e girl. Top work and the little 'tilt' - a trademark' for you I think.

When the child was a child, it had no opinion about anything,
had no habits, it often sat cross-legged,
took off running, had a cowlick in its hair,
and made no faces when photographed.

Hi Sarolta.
Sorry I missed this photo on TE so far.
I would very much to see this scene in some movie, but I doubt that any director can create such a scene, even with the best equipment. This is pure magic, the way you waited for her to be on the right place, the way she is creating a triangle with herself, the shadow and the blocking of the ligh in the fog. Without her, the photo would have been a masterpiece, with her, the photo is pure magic!
take care, Aleks
