Photographer’s Note
The famous "Colonnes de Buren" is a contreversial art sculpture in Paris. One may like or dislike it, this is a conceptual art above all.
However the kids seem really enjoy it, a fantastic playground !
I spent some time there, observing people passing by, kids running around & jumping ...
Thanks for your comment.

salut al,
a sweet, warm picture: very symbolic too: not everyone gets what the others do, life is brutal sometimes;
excellent idea, nicely seen;
i like your b&w convention a lot;
best wishes, j.

al,
u managed a good work,u captured a really nice and funny compo.we must try to feel happy at the place where we are,each altitude and each age likewise has its' own specialities;we should try to find them.
b&w had emphasized the idea in your beautiful compo.

Ces scenes de rues sont toujours tres interessantes et le N&B est tout à fait adapté. Par contre, inculte que je suis, je ne sais pas où se trouves ces fameuses colonnes...

Hello Al,
So it is by Daniel Buren; great how kids can climb it! I like when there is such interaction with an artwork.
Your shot is beautiful, both in its tonal range and composition. Very well seen...

Salut Al,

Hi Al, I very much enjoy the vertical graphical lines in this image. The lines in the artworks columns which is continued in the architectural columns of the building and than the little man, creating his own vertical lines by stretching out his arms and entire body. I like how the other young man breaks this balance in a way. The effect is great really, as the interaction between him and the young boy works as a visual scale for me. Very interesting and excellent shot! Sabine

Al,
Very nice a little similiar to your last with so many vertical lines. The shadows really do make the picture work. Great compostion and perfect B&W conversion

Looks like the kids dont think this is art:) Im kind of divided on this kind of art. I havcent seen this work so I cant really judge. What I like is your phot's verticality. So many lines running up. The b/w is very classy.
