Dad, my buddy ! Photo

Photographer’s Note

There are lot of beautiful photo of the big wheeles/architecture taken at the Grand Palais and released in TE, I'll let you appreciate them, this gives you a good idea of the event and the place.

I decided to post these one. Such event is a good opportunity to take kids over there and have good time.

Amazing to see how they are fascinated by what's going on. It's not only pleasant for small kids but also for bigger kids ;o).

In this photo , 2 kids are sharing good time. In today's photo, it's dad and his son.

This little one seems too young to be on the playground with other kids, he might be sad ? Is dad sorry ? I don't know, I couldn't see their faces. Nevermind, Dad is here, that's the most important thing for the end for the year !

Great photo, love the anonymous feel to the shot by not being able to see their faces, and your note really sums up the situation well.

c'est très beau.
tu as bien choisi la DOF pour nous concentrer sur l'essentiel. N&B tout doux.

A fine B&W of a timeless subject. The contrasts between small and big, hairy and not so etc. makes this picture. I even find one more contrast, the one between skin and skin comparing his neck to his jacket.

nice picture - doesn't show much,but it's where it is getting its strenght - makes u think. I like it in b&w. Simple idea, great technique - and look at it - works no doubt about it!

Oui, ça me parle. Non seulement le sujet me renvoie à ma propre vie, mais la compo est bien sortie, avec ce bokeh qui tourne au graphique à cause des lignes géométriques. Bonne conversion N&B, avec un gestion adéquate du contraste.

J'aime aussi beaucoup cette photo! L'arrière plan est très beau et le cadrage parfait. J'aime comme l'enfant à sa main posée sur l'épaule de son papa. Joli N&B! Et bonne année 2006

Avant de cliquer sur la photo, j'étais presque sûr qu'elle était de toi : un bon portrait en noir et blanc avec un regard sensible. Eh bien je me suis pas trompé. Bravo pour cette forme de style que j'apprécie beaucoup.

C'est simple, mais c'est beau.
J'aime bien cette impression de vignettage avec ce tour de photo qui est plus sombre...excellent.
Un petit bonhomme dans les bras de son papa...c'est mignon et cette prise arrière donne un petit côté mytérieux....une dolinade sans femme ;)
Pis pour couronner le tout, un très bon n/b et une pdc impéc.
Pis pas mal le contraste...chauve-cheveux ;)

The picture speaks to me for the faces are perhaps less important here than the touches, the sense of the boy's secure perching in his father's arm... a sense of security and joy, a childlike happiness. And, a superb arching bokeh! Ah!

Encore une preuve de ta grande sesibilite et compassion. J'aime ton PDV ici par derriere ainsi que le bokeh qui place l'emphase ou il le faut pour guider nos emotions.

bonjour Alain, c est un etrès bonne idée d'avoir pris cet enfant dans les bras de son père, j 'aime beaucoup cet instant d'intimité et de protection.... ils sont seuls parmi la foule et tu les as bien isolés avec le flou!
