I went behind the Taj mahal, the most Photographed monument in the world, to take this picture. At almost 7.30am, still the mist prevailed over Taj and the daily routine of the boatman of carrieing people was there. I used a graduated Sepea filter to add little color to the otherewise, a bleached out sky. This monument was built by King Shahajahan, for his beloved wife.

Hi Satish

What an amazing shoot !!
you just picked the right time of day , the only fault is the large amount of noise in it :(

Hello Satish!

Welcome to Treakearth. It seems to be your first time here, so I hope you will enjoy it. I’ve been exactly where you were standing for this photo, so I know fog is often covering the area in the morning. You did a good job capturing the best possible scene in this context. It seems so peaceful and mysterious at the same time. Nice reflection in the Yamuna river.

André

Hi Satish,
and welcome on trekearth !

I really like the atmosphere of your shot : the Taj Mahal in the orange mist is very irreal and great.

The boat and it's reflexion give a real dimension to the scene.

Thanks for sharing so great pictures,

Regards,
Lawrence.

I Satish,
Romantic shot ! i like really the light background, colors are so beautiful, the boat crossing is very nice, congratulations !
Have a good day

well done

Satish, what a fantastic dreamy photo of Taj Mahal, definately one of the most stunning places on Earth. I thought that it would stronger impact without that little piece of land in the right bottom corner. Great photo anyway. btw - welcome in TE!! L.

very nice colors here. just love it.

Hello Satish,

Too much PS here.

Hi Satish.
This is so great, the far end of the taj not seen, losing itself into the fog. Great idea to use Sepia filter.

all the best, Aleks

Hi, Satish!
Welcome to TE with great work!
Wonderful panorama and boat on the foreground!
Interesting filter effect. IMHO one thing I don't like. It's piece of coast in the right corner.
Best regards. Tanya.

Hi Satish,

Unbelievable capture, I like it very much! It's like a beautiful dream, a fairy tale, so mysterious, calm, surreal...

Welcome to TE!
Great first photo, Satish!
Well done!

Satish,
Quelle incroyable photographie ! La brume donne un aspect irréelle et très doux...le reflet dans l'eau est très bien. Merci pour la note technique et bienvenue sur TE !

I like the bit of land; it shows where the boat is going, and that it could be a ferry.
The Sepia filter adds a timeless quality. Marvellous!

Hi Satish
Lovely shot, wonderful reflection and composition. Maybe the sharpness could be improved.
Sonia

Good utilisation of Sepea filter. What a special atmosphere!

Hi Satish
Amazing coloures!!! I love the see through the fog effect and the airiness of the photo. Great idea to use a filter. Composintion is perfect. I am loving it. :) Thanks for sharing.

Lana

Hi Satish

Wonderful. Like in a dream. great color of the sky and the mist makes special mood. Only quality is not so good. maybe it's beacuse of compression but you captured beauty scene.

Regards
Grzegorz

fantastic - one of the best ever!

Hello, very nice result with this filter. I had the pleasure too to see the Taj Mahal from this place at 6:30 am. It was with fog to and really gorgeous... Thanks for this work.

Bonjour Satish,
C'est la première fois que je vois le Taj Mahal sous cet angle. Je trouve ta photo super! La brume du matin donne une très belle touche à ta photo. Bravo pour cette photo (il faut se lever tôt pour prendre de belle photo!).

Hello Satish,

beautiful capture of the scene. looks beautiful with the light and colours.

This is indeed a very beautiful view of the Taj. The colours and composition are perfect. The reflections add so much to your picture..The noise is disturbing but now taht you know it, you could use teh tool to get rid of it next time around.

One of the few best photographs of Taj, Satish!
Incredible capture.

Imam

Taj Mahal photographs are well known all over the world .. but not from this prespective!
So mystic!

hi satish

you should be very proud of this shot. you've got away from the crowds and photographed a unique side of the taj mahal.

lucinka's workshop is great because it removes the land jutting out of the right frame.

the photographs in your gallery are great. i hope you have a lot of success on trek earth. you deserve it!

wonderful shot, like a NG shot.
Dof is controlled well and wonderful atmosphere.

Stunning reflection of this masterpiece Satish. You are lucky to be in a right place at a right time. I like the multiple colors in the picture. if the bottom portion has a greenish shade, it would look like an Indian flag. Superb picture.

Amazing! A fantasy in film. The majesty of the Taj with the colors of the sky are so powerful. The simplicity of the boat and it's passengers make this truly unique.

Hi Satish, this is a wonderful photo, as I'm sure you've been told many times by now! It seems as if the Taj Mahal is floating on the mist, part of a dream, and I really like the orange & blue light here. Very unusual and striking! Regards,

What a beautiful shot! You really captured the Taj in a beautiful time of day.

Hello Satish ,
An excellent picture indeed. Well deserved rewards to it. An excellent POV, great effect with the use of the filter. Wonderful image in the end.
Thanks for showing- Vikram

This pic is one of the most beautiful scenes I've ever seen form Taj mahal.the atmosphere which you created is fantastic.great composition
exellent work.well done
Mona

Superb...

One can see that the photo is far from its "raw" state but still, image is what count and this photo is just superb... so calm...

I must say though, that I think the WS by lucinka makes it even better... no need for that piece of land.

Keep up the good work!
