Thanks to Adam's efforts to restore my account's settings I'm back :) Great job, Adam.

This one was taken in Nikolo-Ugreshsky Monastery near Moscow. More about the monastery can be found in my previous note.

As I wrote in one of other notes there are significant changes in people's attitude to religion in modern Russia. Re-opened monasteries play important role in that process, as they not only provide spiritual advise to those who seek it, but also take part in education of the youth. For example, this monastery hosts a Sunday Orthodox school for children. One of its students can be seen here together with cats which are omni-present in any monastery or convent I visit :)

On the background you see a wall of Tsar's and Patriarch's Palace - the oldest building in monastery (XVII century).
