Photographer’s Note
For the second time in my life, I'm heading up towards the summit of Mt Kosciuszko, the highest point in Australia:) Well, I know what you are thinking - this doesn't look like much of mountain and let me tell you it is more like a hill, but it's still exciting when you're able to say that you've made it to the top of the continent:)
The first time I was here, I was surrounded by thick cloud and could see hardly anything. I also took a shorter route. This time the view was beautiful. I had 360 degree views of Australia's beautiful Snowy Alps. The scenery is very interesting with no trees - instead billions of rocks as far as the eye can see and interesting wildflowers and alpine plants. It's almost like a moonscape sort of scenery.
The entire Main Range circuit track as well as the track to Blue Lake, the largest glacial lake was about 24km in total and took about 9 hours. It was such a peaceful trek with wonderful views.
My next post will be a closer view of the Australian summit.
I'm sorry if i'm boring you with these photos from Australia's Main Range. I still have some more photos from here to show and then I'll move onto some more shots from Canberra, Australia's Capital City.
