Photographer’s Note

Let's stay in Bundi for a while, and why not, it is a pleasant enough town, set in a narrow inclining gorge. For the people of Bundi the lake is the ideal place to do the laundry. In the background, the town, the palace which inspired RUDYARD KIPLING who not only stayed here but found inspiration for his famous work KIM, and the fort.

Hi Ealine, long ago without see you around TE. Pleasant photo of India and beside, taken recently. I do not know this city, but thanks to this photo it gets included in the places I will visit in my next trip to India. Take care.

Hi Elaine,
By looking at this wonderful photo is easy to understand Kipling's inspiration, as the place is dreamy. Wonderful pov, with the daily activity on the fg and the fairy tale palace and fort on the bg, on the other side of the lake involved in the haze.
Maybe a closer and sharper look of the palace would be more striking for a first sight, but like it is, the deamy mood is much enhanced.
I really have to see Rajasthan!

great documentary of the place. Colours are so rich and beautiful here...from the violet of the textiles to the gold. the depth is well managed and I also like the minimalistic feel due to the small figure.
