After the storm....

The development of the city was closely bound up with the establishment of its industrial estate, the upgrading of the port, and the growth of tourism, due to the city's location near the scenic Mt. Pelion, the home of Chiron the Centaur and the beautiful beaches of the Magnesia prefecture, particularly those of the Northern Sporades.

The city has been linked with a number of significant social movements in the past, such as the early teaching of Dimotiki, by Delmouzos in the early 20th century (when Katharevousa was the officially sanctioned version).

Volos is also well known for its assortment of mezedes and a clear, alcoholic beverage known as tsipouro.

Olá Costantino,
interessante, parece que o navio está encalhado. Apenas acho que deveria ter tomado mais cuidado com a superexposição das nuvens, pois como elas são o assunto principal e ocupam a maior parte da foto, mereciam uma exposição perfeita, talvez um f/5.6 mesmo com 1/750s resolveria o problema baixando uns -2EV.

formation of sky ruling above boats in the bay is magnificent, a real treat from nature, showing its enormous dimension and size in comparison to already big ships. It is clearly felt that storm has left this place, leaving behind some puddles and ripped clouds with sun rays shining in them. Most lovely impression Volos.

You've a little bit difficult with backlight to the sky.
Perspective and presentation are very well.

Hi Costantino,

You have really captured the feeling of just after the storm feeling well. The foreground with the still wet quay is perfect. I also like the back-light, that of the ships is more or less a silhouette and that you let the exiting sky dominate the scene. TFS!

Αυτή η βροχή των προηγούμενων ημερών με έκανε να νομίζω ότι έχουμε φθινόπωρο.Εκείνη τη μέρα είχα πάει κι εγώ για φωτογραφία,αλλά δεν δε πέτυχα.Ο ουρανός είναι πανέμορφος και η γωνία λήψης πολύ καλή.

Hi Constantino,
It doesn't look so great from the thumbnail and the subject by itself doesn't look so promising, but the fact is that is a very appealing image. You took very good profit of the picturesque and dramatic sky and made a gorgeous compo by the clever choice of the POV.
It's a pity that the clarity isn't so good.
