Photographer’s Note

This is a view of Paris taken from the second floor of the Eiffel tower. It is a perfect spot to get a good look at Paris and here you can see Les Invalides and its golden dome, which is a complex of buildings in the city's 7th district(arrondissement) with museums and monuments, all relating to the military history of France, as well as a hospital and a retirement home for war veterans, the building's original purpose.
Napoleon's tomb is under the dome.

The shade on the right side is the top of the Eiffel Tower.

Salut Marilyn,

J'aime bien photographier les tours, mais je ne monte que très rarement dedans... :-(

Ta photo m'indique que je fais une grossière erreur, parce que le résultat de ta prise de vue est spectaculaire, particulièrement sous cette lumière chaude de fin de journée. Vue ainsi, Paris semble intemporel, sans les néons, les autos, les vélibs... :-P)

Je trouve d'autant plus remarquable que tu sois monté là-haut, alors que tu es une parisienne!... Enfin, une Goa-parisienne... LOL!

Marilyn! I just uploaded and saw you in front of me. I assume that you are on your way home.This is a lovely souvenir of Paris, I love it's sharpness and the lovely golden tone that the city takes on. here we can see so well the city scape of the

Superbe vue sur les Invalides et en plus tu as bénéficié d'une belle et douce lumière que je suppose de fin de journée. J'apprécie la bonne netteté qui nous permet d'obtenir une foultitude de détails, c'est très agréable à détailler. Effectivement cerise sur le gâteau c'est l'ombre de la TE sur la droite... Bien vu Marilyn.

Excellent POV ... I like the panoramic elevated view. This must have been taken on a setting sun judging from the long shadows ... perfect time to capture that warm cast of light. It is a beautiful city and you've captured and composed this well. Excellent work! tfs

Posting a picture from Paris while you are in Goa, what the hell are you doing in Goa among all those other tourists:-)
I like your Paris photo with beautiful warm colours. It's all brown and yellow in a very soft way. No need to go up that high, from here you also have a wonderful view...i like it.

Bonjour, chère Marilyn,
La Tour Eiffel constitue une position élevée pour saisir Paris d'une très belle façon, cette très belle réalisation en est la preuve, mais la vieille dame le fait savoir en imprimant son ombre sur une partie des immeubles parisiens.
Les détails sont stupéfiants et la lumière excellente.

Le "skyline parisien" dés la Tour Eiffel près du coucher de soleil... Voilà un classique avec succès garantis si la photographe est talentueuse et sais choisir les meilleurs cadrages! Les couleurs son si (agréablement) chaudes qu'on peux imaginer que le doré de la coupole des Invalides est causé par la lumière.

Un POV idéal pour avoir une vue magnifique et intéressante sur le "tout" Paris, a voir ainsi avec cette lumiére l'on dirais que Paris a perdu ses couleurs!!!

I don't think I quite realised until now how big Les Invalides is, as I only saw it from the front. You chose a good time to go up the Eiffel Tower, because the golden light is lovely. The detail in the image is incredible.

It looks like a toy model of the city, with this monochromatic brown tone.
Nice to see the shadow of the tower. A symbol of Paris shown in a different way.

une vue splendide d'oiseau dans ton cadrage, la trame urbaine de Paris a un excellent effet graphique et donne une tissure très spéciale à la photo, mais le détail de l'ombre de la Tour Eiffel sur elle est certainement ce qui attire plus l'attention de ta composition.
