Shot clicked from inside the Red Mosque inside the Taj Mahal complex...
The ambience inside this mosque is very serene and peaceful. Roaming through these grand structures of gone times, one feels so humble. It is an amazing experience, once a life time...
About the Taj Mahal Mosque
******************************************************
On the west of the Taj Mahal lies the red sandstone Mosque, where Muslims collect every Friday to offer their prayers to Allah. As per the Islamic rules, the Mosque faces towards Mecca and is complimented by another red sandstone building on the right side of the Taj that was perhaps built to maintain the symmetry and harmony of the monument. There is a small stone enclosed space, a greenery shaded structure that measures 19 ft by 6.5 ft and marks the place, which had served as a temporary grave where the remains of Mumtaz Mahal were kept for some when they were first brought to Agra until they finally founded a place to rest for eternity in the internment of the beautiful mausoleum that was exclusively built for them. This enclosure is located along the western boundary wall, which houses the well of the Mosque.

Indeed an unusual view of a munument which is so often seen and so hard to show in a new way.
Congratulations

Hi Darpan,
Beautiful, original picture with nice colors. I like the composition a lot. There are only two small things that I think could be improved here:
- including the tip of the gate (it is cut off in your framing);
- cropping a portion of the black left side of the frame.
Have a nice day!

hi Darpan,
this is an amazing picture - I like the perspective a lot, the alternating light/shadow details, and the way the arch keeps repeating itself as a motive throughout the image

Hi Darpan!
A different image from one of India`s famous landmarks. You had a good eye to see this and managed a great shot.Maybe a lower POV a bit more left would have given a better result,to see the whole dome.Only a thought.....
Anyway ,I like the result and I`m very happy that I will visit your wonderful country a second time in january.
Greetings from Germany,Leo

Darpan: it can be challenging to find a different presentation to this overly-imaged image - you did a great job with that here. regards, c

Hi Darpan,
Great to see a different view of the magnificent Taj Mahal. The light on the tiled floor leads the eye in nicely to the subject. Well done.
Kind regards, Michele.

Hello Darpan
I like the framing, very original. Seen countless shots of Taj, but this is really fresh. Two things work very well, the impression of the light on the floor through the arched gate & the framing itself. Fine work! But then again the Picassa sharpening :-) Did you get to try the other one?

Angshu

I really like the way you used the spill of light out onto the floor, Darpan. The obvious shot would be to use the doorway just as a frame, so the whole Taj Mahal dome would be visible, but this is an excellent more-creative alternative. Nice exposure and framing, too. Regards, Ken.

Wonderful place to take pictures, nicely managed contrasts, however more care to the composition would have improved the picture significantly, cutting the roof of Taj Mahal disturbs me too much, cropping the top of the gate as well as the near central position of the gate. Otherwise nice theme. Kind regards, Michael
