The frost on the trees gives a wonderful touch to this scene, and I like the line of trees which veils the houses behind. It must have been rather cold out there, but worth it for this shot!

Dag, Jaap. Ben je de zomer beu? Na de herfst krijgen we nu de winter. Logisch, zal je me zeggen ;o). De boten vormen hier een zeer mooie diagonale lijn. Ze komen zeer goed uit op de bevroren bomen. Zeer mooie winterse atmosfeer met die beladen lucht.

I like the triangle made by the perspective. The line from the top of the trees and the bottom of the boats is almost reaching the meeting point inside the frame. Very high quality image with a wintery atmosphere.

A very nice picture!
The boats, trees and buildings created a diagonal line through the picture that has both warm and cold colors! That has everything to do with winter, because even though it might mean "grey" for some reasons (snow, dry trees etc.), including people's feelings, it may also mean "brown, yellow, red" (chocolate, winter clothes etc.), including warmer feelings such as the desire of getting closer to people etc.
I'm sorry, but I see all of this in your picture!

Jaap, je begint hier nu toch wel echt de seizoenen door elkaar te halen. Of zoek je een beetje verfrissing voor het komende weekend? Ze voorspellen 30 graden. The colours and sharpness of this picture are first class. Especially I like the thin layer of ice covering the trees, making them look like they're made of silver. The line of trees along the elegantly designed tug-boats give the picture a very fine depth.
