For decades, Santo Domingo colony was the headquarters of Spanish colonial power in the New World. But after the Spanish conquest of the mainland empires of the Aztecs and Incas, the importance of Hispaniola declined and Spain paid less attention to it. French bucaneers settled in the western part of the island, and by the 1697 Treaty of Ryswick, Spain ceded the area to France. With colonial settlement and the development of a plantation economy dependent on slave labor, it grew into the wealthy colony of Saint-Domingue (now Haiti), with four times (500,000 vs. 125,000) as much population as Spanish Santo Domingo by the end of the 18th century. By then, enslaved Africans in Saint-Domingue outnumbered whites and freedmen by ten to one.

Not sure about the white sky, in the upper part, but except that, the colors, the texture and the mood are ok. The textures are probably what I appreciate the most here : old, warm and well captured.

Como estas? Bien espero! Me gusta esta foto. Tiene buen encuadre y colores. Ademas que supiste hacer bien el cuadruple framing de la puerta. Como siempre nos dejas impresionados con los detalles de una obra simple. Gracias amigo :-)

Hola Elias, que tal estás? Bom ver duas novas fotos na tua galeria. Esta está espectacular. Excelente perspectiva gráfica muito bem apresentada. Não mudava nada aqui. Bom, talvez considerasse cortar o céu no topo, mas não tenho a certeza. O enfiamento visual é muito atractivo e gosto das texturas, cores e contrastes. Neste caso, a sobreexposição no pavimento resulta bem em termos artísticos. Bom trabalho.

I also would crop a little bit upper part. It doesn't however change the fact that it is a very good photo with well chosen POV.

I like this composition with all these doors, and the effect of depth and perspective.
I did a test in : workshop, focusing on the top: I do not know what you think.
