Whitby harbour on a very overcast day, decided to convert to B&W and then blue tone to create a moody image, hope you like it...

Hi Derek,
almost neighbours today ;-) I like what you did here, bit dark, but it suits the image well, the mood of the image is just great and I like that cloudy sky, only a small part where the sun breaks through, nice! Well chosen POV and great sharpness, well done and thanks for sharing!

Take care
Mark

Wow, that's a dark great postcard (compared to the sunset ones we usually see here). Would Batman live close to a harbor, I guess it would be here...
Striking, moody and perfectly managed (I think at the depth and the framing).

hello derek, excellent dramatic shot, much better in b&w rather than colour. Which boat were you on when you took the shot?

Hello Derek
Man the mood of this is super, remind of the good old gray days of the UK. The off blue tones was a very good choice. Superb POV I can imagine this place being beautiful on a good day.
Well done
Jim

Hi Derek,
Indeed, moody as it can be with only one colour, but it sure looks great in composition and depth....but most of all that mood which is created by that single colour tone...i like that.

Hi Derek!
A bit too dark for my taste, but technical good.Great POV and good composition with the long diagonal and the lighthouse.Interesting blue tones and now after viewing it for a while,I like it.

very very deep color and great; a mysterious night! marvellous also

Derek,

Good choices - the blue tone is really effective in this image, giving, no doubt, a completely different atmosphere from a straight black and white. Very impressive in my low light loft!

Colin

This is a painting like and a mervellous image with such superb hues and use of lights. I love the width and the way this image has been captured
