The South Wales coastline had many areas like this, high cliffs over rocky and sandy beaches overlooking the Bristol Channel. A typical scene are sheep grazing along the clifftops on the sandy soil covering the rock cliffs.

Very good shot : simple to read yet excellent compo, love the way the sheep's back recalls the hill slope.

Nice shot Joan. I leaned my elbow into the bottom right corner almost as if I could lay down on the lawn to gaze. Works for me!

Joan, you made my day with this one! You write "a typical scene", ok, but what a pleasant presentation. This one is marvellous by it's simplicity. Just a bush, a sheep, two old stones and a seaview... heaven!

it is a real nice capture, very well done!

Very cool image. SImple composition but something where I yearn to be. Great greens, nice angle.

Lovely shot ! this lonely lamb, so peaceful with this calm sea behind, The two stone pillars ( or what ever they are) work just well in this picture it gives a third dimension to the composition.

Belle photo, j'aime beaucoup. Très bien réussie. Bravo

Nice work Joan. I like the simple construction and colors.

WOW, wonderful shot. I like everything about this photo, but the patch of thick grass on the bottom of the shot disturbs the composition a little for me. Apart from that I see a very nicely balanced shot with wonderful colors. Well done!

Posted a WS for you.

Welcome back Joan! I've a particular fondness for Wales, with a name like Jones, you might guess there's a lot of Welsh blood in me, and you'd be right! This is a lovely shot, nice composition and a good focal point.

Fil's work maximises all the positives of your work, and eliminates what little negatives it has.

Very good observation and composition in the first place too.

Nice picture. Well composed. I like the sheep's posture and the things on the right do a good job of filling the space. I don't think the bush (or "thick grass") at the bottom left matters much and if cropped off, the photograph would lose something in terms of where the elements of it are positioned.
