Unchanged since the 11th century, the leather souq of Fes is the oldest leather tannery in the world. Numerous stone vessels contain the dyes and other malodorous liquids used to manually craft the sheep and goat hides into workable leather.

An elegant horseman on a Lusitano horse stabs 3 or 4 bandeirilhas in the bull. Then 8 men lineup facing the bull, the front man provokes the bull to charge and then performs a face catch and holds the bulls head before the others restrain and subdue it.

Located in Huairou County (70 km n.e. of Beijing) and surrounded by woodland and streams, the Mutianyu section of the Wall is one of its best-preserved. First built in the 6th century (rebuilt in 1569) and largely made of granite, it is 7-8m (h) & 4-5 (w) with 22 watchtowers along it's 2,250m.

Built by a 12th century Khmer King as a royal temple dedicated to a Hindu deity, Angkor Wat is a vast temple complex near Siem Reap, about 200 miles from Phnom Penh in Cambodia.
After falling to invaders, Angkor Wat receded into the jungle but continued as a Buddhist temple and a pilgrimage site over the centuries.
Angkor Wat is the best preserved example of Khmer architecture in Cambodia and is so grand in design that some rank it among the seven wonders of the world.

Located 60km north of Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge is a canyon on the Yangtze River. Around 15km in length, the gorge passes between Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (5,596m) and Haba Xueshan (5,396m) through a series of rapids surrounded by steep 2000m cliffs.
Legend has it a tiger, in order to escape a hunter, jumped across the river at it's narrowest point (25m).
The Gorge is a contender for the world's deepest river canyon - depending on criteria applied.

Ouzoud Waterfalls (French: Cascades d'Ouzoud) (110 m high) are located in the Grand Atlas village of Tanaghmeilt, in the province of Azilal, 150 km north-east of Marrakech, in Morocco.
Ouzoud, the Berber word for olive, refers to the nearby olive trees. Also near the falls are green valleys, mills, orchards and a circuit of the gorges of the El Abid River.

For the most part it looks like classic Township, but in recent years goverment projects have introduced a higher level of services and regenerated some areas of housing. Many social problems remain and HIV infection rates run at 30%, Unemployemt is over 80%.

Erg Chebbi is the sole Saharan erg in Morocco. The erg is 22 km long and 5 km wide -its dunes reach a height of 150m.
Located roughly 40km s.e. of Erfoud, the local center for tourists is the village of Merzouga.
Supposedly, the locals believe the dunes are a punishment for turning away a weary traveller.
They say that after they sent away the traveller, the gods piled the sand outside the town to teach them a lesson to never send away weary men and women ever again.
