Hmmm... this picture reminds of Franz Schubert's "Winterreise". A series of 24 songs about an old man travelling through the snow, finally ending with his death. Very depressing but beautiful at the same time. I think you also managed to combine these contrasting feelings in your picture. I can almost see the ghost of the old man standing next to the bus stop, waiting for the last busride of his life.

Hello Fred! Perhaps you know that I am also very interested in aircraft and like to take pictures of them. Therefore, your photo drew my attention immediately. It's a very nice clean shot, I like the gradually changing grey sky here. I'm surprised that even with a shutter speed of 1/800 we can still see the movement of the propellor vanes of the Spitfire. They must be rotating very fast!

Hello Luca. This is a great portrait, the eyes are very expressive and intense, although it is hard to guess in what position the hidden mouth is. I think it's a smile... Colours and framing are obviously very beautiful and I like the natural sharpness in your picture.

Hello Ebbe. I like the layers in this shot, the foreground being quite clear with sharp contrasts, while the background is hazy. I think your choice to make it B&W increases the effect. The combination of the overall horizontal lines (water, background, horizontal beams on the ship) with the vertical orientation of the ship is also great and creates an appealing graphism. Well done!

Nice! The combination of the concentrated group of people watching the very crowded painting in a very empty and clean room works very well here. I also like the contrast between all people looking at the painting, while the girl on the right seems a bit bored... Good catch Wes!

Hello Sophie. What a wonderful view! The light on the snowy mountains is so beautiful with the dark clouds hanging above and you even managed to include a rainbow! Very very pretty. Nice horizontal framing as well, it really suits the scenery.

Hello Kev. There are plenty of outdoor festivals in the Netherlands, but I don't know of any where the combination that you describe perform. But next Monday we have for example "Pinkpop" with - among others - Placebo, dEUS, Racoon and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I like the light in your picture. Especially the dark background with just the stage light coming from the top. Your low PoV works great under these lighting circumstances. It must be very nice to be so close to the stage, while the rest of the crowd is behind you.

Bonjour Dominique! Well, it was a pleasure to see you at work in the museum as we had seen so many beautiful museum pictures of yours on TE before. And again, this is a beautiful one. Indeed, a wider view than I would have expected but the combination of the glass, reflection, paintings and the seated woman (with the woman in the painting watching over her) works very well. Thanks for guiding us through Paris, it was very nice to meet you!
