Well I think the wait was worth it! Nice straight horizon and strong colour, great silhouettes and majestic sunbeams. Great shot.

As a Melbourne dweller myself I love this view. Just as an idea, I think it could be straightened up to really show off the view. My tripod has a simple spirit level on it that really helps with shots like this. And not to be too negative, but its a tad dark to really show off much. A smaller aperture and slower shutter speed, plus a nice stable tripod, and you will have a winner for sure! It should help to let in the dim light for longer! Good job.

I think you have done a great job on this. The lines of the hills, and the sunlight on the grass toward the back, make for a great scene.
