Very nicely composed shot and almost the "traditional" image of the Cathedral. I'm lucky enough to live only 6 miles from the cathedral but yet to take a shot from this angle... :(

The colours you've captured here do justice to one of the most beautiful buildings in the North East.

I really like this, the vivid colours the mountains....the only critism would be for me the angle needs slight correction and the photo is a little soft....but hey you were on a plane! I seem similar photos on stretched canvas go for alot of money in our local artshop and I think this type of desert minimalist photo is in fashion at the moment. Thanks for sharing!

I do like the range of colours, however the building (is it an observatory?) is uninspiring and the conditions have made the background washed out...

I think you took this photo to try and show how large the sea is compared to this small boat. Unfortunately for me there is too much blue (and uninteresting blue) and the boat is too small...

Great strong and vivid colours, I am never able to get to places as grand as this! If I had taken this shot I probably would have taken it with a little less mountain and more of that sky!

I love this photo! I tried to achieve something similar myself a while ago, but my digicam wouldnt have it... Youve created a great "tunnel of light" photo and the only critism is there is maybe a little too much dark space....thanks.

Love the location, love the shadow drawing the eye towards the stone face, it is a shame the monk looks like he is posing for the shot. Nice photo though, thanks!

Hello! Great castle shot, its just a shame that the trees interupt the shot.....if it was possible I would have tried a different angle to remove the trees, or at the very least tried to use them to frame the picture better.

Welcome to Trekearth! I do like this photo with the geese in unison but if I had taken the photo I would have tried to get less of the grey foreground (maybe a crop would be in order) also the fence in the background distracts and spoils the image so maybe having a shallow dof would have helped?

As I say everytime I view a B&W, being a big fan, I think I can see what you were trying to do with this photo. The jagged shadows in the foreground make for a good picture (IMO they look great in B&W) however, there is very little else in this photo of real interest. The building in the background would have been good if it wasnt so blown out, but the featureless sky and trees in the middle of the picture IMO give this photo a "chaotic" feel with no real direction.

A nice DOF is spoiled a little for me by too much of a scripted pose....a note would have been interesting aswell.

Nice building, but if I had taken this I would have tried to possition it not as centraly as you have. I would have possibly considered rotating around it anti clockwise a little so as to get less of the trees, cut off a little of the ground and maybe also considered B&W. Thanks for sharing the photo though.
