Just had a look at TE. I might come here one or twice a year... And I saw your 10 years anniversary photo. 10 years?! In this world of fleeting moments, where we surf from one social media to the other, it speaks volumes.
So... let me congratulate you.
I hope you are happy and that life is good with you...

Excellent framing through the ropes and material as it just tells your voyage too. Colors are really cool and the historical notes are excellent one.
Thanks for sharing,

Composition is superb with the camels occupying the bottom right corner and the dunes behind, rippling into the distance like a vast sea. And that colour - wow! |

Simple: one of the best photos I have seen of wresting. Period.
The timing, the framing are simply perfect. The expression of both men say it all that is to say. Incredible moment.
But I have to say that technically speaking, it could be a little bit better. There is a white halo around the nose of the second man. And some strange zones here and there, probably because you have "blackened" the background. But, I might be wrong. |

She's looking outside, but I see the rain forming big "X" on her eyes, like if the weather was trying to prevent her to see.
Well... I'm just playing here! :-)
I might have been tempted to crop the left side and make it square with the space mostly in front of her eyes. But, it is difficult to resist such a beautiful blurry and creamy red... ;-) |

Sometimes, it was surprising. In your case, the first photo is a preview of what will come next. You take photos of children. And, though it is "easier" to do take their photos - children are easier to approach - it is more difficult to take "good" photos of children. Most of the time, you achieve to avoid the clichés. Here is a good example, though not your best. There is something in those eyes who's looking straight in your face, a "Mona Lisa" kind of smile, that makes it good in my opinion.
One lecturer at our local photo club said that the background is of the utmost importance. Here, it is indeed great.
Technically, it is excellent as well. I might only try to darken a bit the wall over the shoulder on the right. There is a strange artifact there.
A late welcome in TE! :-)) |

Walking in Barcelona, I found another specimen of that species: the sculpted elephant! :-) Mine was standing on his (her?) trunk though! Sadly enough, I had no time to take a photo, and it would have been difficult since it was night time. Nevertheless, in seeing that elephant, I thought immediately about yours. And about the difficulty to make a creative photo with what is already a piece of art. You achieved it by your point of view, your wide angle use, your play with the white, washed out, background, and your framing.
I was sure I had left a 'critique' in there, but it must have been in the old time, before the deleting of all your photos. Well... It's my pleasure to write another one! :-)) |
