I really like the low lighting here, which adds a wonderful tranquil mood around the calm lake. The pastel tones in the sky are wonderful. The silhouettes, both of the slopes in the distance and the people in the foreground, are wonderful.

Personally, I had chosen Altered Image # 2 as the main photo. Such a beautiful composition with a special distribution between light and dark.

In the Netherlands we also use the expression “de tand des tijd”. It's funny that we use this more often when something has survived the tooth of time than it has been affected by it, but both are possible.
What is more beautiful than a sunny, windless winter morning with a few degrees of frost and the frost on the grass and the thin tree branches. The right ambiance to photograph a beautiful old English church with a cemetery.

In my experience, a sunset is a lot more popular than the sunrise.
There seem to be more evening people than morning people.
This beautiful photo shows that it is certainly worthwhile to get out of bed early every now and then. Excellent presentation

This plant is also found in the Netherlands and is called Herfsttijloos here. This name refers to not having any leaves at the time of flowering.
The possible medicinal effect is mentioned, but caution is advised because the plant is also toxid. For fighting Covid, I agree with you and we better rely on the vaccine. I've to wait another month before it is my turn.
