    Hello Walter,

This building was a surprise to me.
The half-timbered frame and the warm coloured bricks, make this look like a welcoming house. Well, I suppose a church is a welcoming house; it is only the tower, which makes us realise that this is not an ordinary house!

You have captured the scene with rich colours and excellent clarity, the church strongly placed off-centre and including the extra, colourful details of the memorials and flowers, in the f/g.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Pavle,

Just the few stalks of vegetation, in the f/g, help to create a sense of depth from the near bank to the far bank, where the nests in the trees are easily visible due to the lack of leaves.
The houses, with terracotta roofs, peeping through the trees, give a friendly warmth to the scene.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Malgo,

The boat does like good and it must have been a thrilling experience to sail in it but this close-up of the sailors, so much enjoying their job, and the strong details of the mast and ropes, makes a much more personal and interesting shot.

    Hello Rob,

I always know that we will have three delightful photographs to see when you post!
Your main shot is both original and eye-catching, (forgive the pun!) and begins the theme of reflections.

I just love your w/s, too.
The reality and the reflections complement each other really well. I would have loved to have taken these!

    Hello Chris,

This mausoleum is a very unusual, geometric shape! It looks as if buttresses have been incorporated into the design.
You have captured it sharply and set it neatly in front of the castle, obviously designed for a different purpose.

    My warm regards,

    Hello Ike,

You had a very good idea to include the flags in your photograph, they give a clue to the area, they add new colours and they point the viewers inwards, across the water, towards the buildings, creating a fine sense of depth.
I'm glad you included the fountain ... even though you thought it may be banal!! It is strikingly powerful and beautiful!

    Hello Zbigniew,

This is a most attractive street with an eclectic mix of buildings and very neatly angled in your sharply exposed composition.
I particularly like how you have suggested a parkland setting by including the branches of the overhanging trees. These branches also give colour and shape contrasts with the more rigid buildings.

    My warm regards,

    Hello Dear Costantino,

    I really like this!
I love how you have used this winter tree and rocks, to fill the f/g with interest.

This is an amazingly well maintained building! It still looks tall and strong, with all its emblems and decorations still intact, even though it is still providing vehicular access.
Your photograph is sharp as well as being very well composed, using the surrounding buildings to act like a funnel, guiding us inwards.

    Hello John,

I was immediately attracted by the dual paths, ensuring that I visited both sections of the scene.
Those truncated trees act like sentries, stood to attention, and guiding the way inwards. I wonder how much they flourish in summer. Maybe this scene can only be captured in winter, with an absence of branches and leaves.
The winter scene is sharp as well neatly composed, hints of low, winter sunlight just highlighting the rooftops.

It is best seen in the large format!

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Kari,

I wonder ... has this young lady learned that crying draws attention! That is my thought, when you say her mother was nearby!
She does, however, make a cute, if pleading, focal figure. An adult response to a small child crying is to immediately want to comfort her ... so we are drawn to her!

You clearly created the museum setting!

The water is a remarkable colour; it's almost a jade green. Lovely composition!

    Ciao Luciano,

I always wonder if I am boring people by showing snowy photographs from around my home but I can assure you that the photographs from around your home are not boring. I well composed and exposed photograph cannot be boring!

I quite understand your feelings about these geese; they are bad tempered and unpredictable! However, this goose, looking superior and on-guard, does make a fine focal feature. We can clearly see the patterns of its plumage, repeated on its partner.

The house and park make a very pleasing setting for these two villains!

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Jean,

This is a spectacular scene of mountains and snow.
The f/g tracks and footprints show the depth of the snow cover, whilst the mountains make a strong backstop for this setting.

Despite the snow, the road looks to be very busy. In fact the road makes a good, thirds separation line.

    Hello Mariusz,

This really is a most interesting photograph.
I like the strength of the guidelines and the different heights within the scene, all containing details worthy of perusal. The upper section reveals the variety and interesting details of the buildings, whilst the lower section is devoted to social matters.

I think you have posted photographs from this place previously and why not, it is so very attractive, with interesting old buildings and a waterway cascading through the centre.

    Hello Jorge,

This is a beautiful spot, very well captured on your photograph.
Your well chosen viewpoint has achieved a very effective, curved guideline from the f/g to the sloping trees, which make the focal point as they stand tall.
There is a very definite warm/cool colours contrast, the warm colours on the right and the cool ones on the left.

The idea of hunting pack of dogs sounds daunting!
