thanks for your comments! The over-exposed part on the left didn't tell the viewer that much more, on the contrary, I guess it created perhaps confusion and pulled the attention away...

Thanks for your comment! Let me "clarify" that I didn't use Paintshop's Clarify Tool here, but instead experimented with the PS Unsharp Mask settings... I usually sharpen a picture...
