To HIRAKZ: 2nd guy
Hi Hirak, there's a 2nd guy in the pic, as most have observed. He's the cousin of guy in blue.

Hi Melody! Thanks for the comment. Because the people in the pic are clients of the Mango Farm, and it's me who took the pics, I cannot post pictures with faces :(

That guy behind her isn't me. I am the photographer, remember :) My guests were enjoying the orchard and were ok with me taking candids as they walked by. I can't just let such a photogenic moment...

Hi Peter, I took a picture of the room depicted in the foto from another room. The two rooms are separated by a sliding glass door, which in this case, was left partially open. Thanks for the...

To Josh69: frogs say hi
Thanks for the note! Yes, it does look abyss-like. That black portion is actually half water. It's a tilted earthenware with a broken rim. There's water gushing from under it, which eventually fills...

If there's something glaringly, technically wrong with a submission, I wouldn't mind people pointing that out. If there are suggestions for improvement, even if I disagree, I welcome them too. But...

Re: Type 'Two's...
Oh well, BOb, I guess I read your categories too fast, and it seems that I don't fit exactly in any one of them (btw, especially #1 .... that looks too harsh for anybody here). None of my fotos on...

Re: Leaving notes with images
My sentiments, exactly. It is usually the note that accompanies an image that compells me to write a critique. If there's none, I hardly have the urge to make my thoughts known. TE's essence, after...

Hmmm... interesting question. I guess I fall under your 2nd category. I'm not too interested in post processing, as I do that myself anyway before I even post it here. However, I really enjoy the...

Speaking for myself, I do care about comments. However, I also understand where your statement is coming from.... unless the photographer replies back directly or through the forum, you'll never know...

Re: chalcone/Michael...
Thanks.
Are you saying that to defend your method of lumping all those countries under "3rd world"? I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one offended by that. So, I appreciate you having to say...

Bob, the question is, do we really need to know that where you are travelling is "...where one isn't going to find reliable electricity or readily available phones, ...." Who said that we had to...

Re: chalcone/Michael...
Ok Bob, I'll answer as best I could.
I live in Hong Kong, and there are times when I go to the poorer parts of China. When that happens, all I mention is that I'm going to that location in China,...

Re: 3rd world travel with a laptop
Bob, when I go to Europe or US, I don't say ... "I'm going to First world nations. See you later." I simply say, I'm off to Europe or US. So my suggestion is, be direct. Say where you will go in...

Re: 3rd world travel with a laptop
It is a pretty insensitive way of classifying nations, don't you think? Not much different from saying "first, second, or third class citizen" in reference to a person's economic condition and/or...

Viewing problems
I'm having trouble seeing the bigger version of the thumbnails in the gallery. All I see is a white box each time I click on a thumbnail. Is there maintenance going on at the moment?
