To Michael_Gan: High Dynamic Range

Thanks Michael.
To put it simply, what I did here was to take 3 different exposures (one with shadows visible to their fullest, one with the highlights and one in the middle) and combined them to...

To Zanni: Thanks, difficult crop

this was...in the end I decided to keep those trees as they seemed to add some reality to an otherwise very abstract shot.

Thanks

To scalerman: Comments

Thanks Scalerman :).
Well, I didn't expect too many feedbacks actually. You can't compare the aesthetics of a colorful sunset shot to this one.
Of course, there is no comparing the depth of those...

To khmelins: space

Thanks :).

Well, I left that space on the left for balance purposes.
It would be way too tight imo without it, and I somehow even like that bit of pavement on the bottom left.

Matter of...

To verge: Tripod

Thanks Verge. No, I didn't use a tripod here. It really is very difficult taking macro shots at 300mm. I had several shots before this one that were shaky...but luckily got this one also.
Maybe I...

To Vagabond: Glare

Thanks Vagabond.
I use Photomatix to create an HDR image and then tone map it so I get all the right colors and exposure. I really only now found it and I'm glad I did. I thought about cloning out...

To Myriam: White spots

Hi myriam, thanks for the comment.
Those white spots are just a reflection caused by the strong sun. I'm using a good cpl (Tiffen) but I guess some reflections are inevitable.

Thanks,
Guy

To Ebbe: Agreed...however

As I mentioned my saved copy is darker and therefore B&W appeared to make it too dark and strange for my taste.

Thanks :)

To weiphoto: Comment

Thanks,
This really was a grab shot. As far as the background is concerned I opted to making this shot bright and therefore left the background a bit brighter than I would usually. About the...

To agelaste: Critique

Hi, thanks for the comments.
about strengthening the contrast - well, I thought about that but then decided it might make the old lady less visible which would kill the main idea here. The plastic...

To Enia: I thought no one would understand...:)

You're right, that is my point.
I actually didn't think the homeless man was too small, but rather noticeable. In any case, the only other angle which could've been better here is crouching next to...

To RandomCameraGuy: Comments

Thanks for the input :).

The reason the image is not as sharp is due to the lame autofocus of my Olympus C750. Even being an advanced digital point&shoot, it is still a point and shoot camera. I...
