You are right, you can spot "Père Eternel" the tiny rocky needle. The image is taken from the "Col Oriental de Toule" at the beginning of the freeride skiing track of "Toula Glacier".

Your are right, the background looks like silk because I used neat image to smooth the mountains and increase the contrast of the sharpness of the foreground.

To get there it's a long hiking with some scrambling about 5 hours from where you live the car.
In Fall you can see also a lot of deers around there.

It was at sunset, or better the sun was already set, only the last lights on the top of the peaks, I remeber that I put the camera on a rock like a tripod.

No polarizer filter at all.
The patagonian sky is the clearest I have ever seen, the strong winds are doing this.
