To windosil: I don't like the pole either

Hi Winifred,
Took this shot at dusk, cranked the ISO up to 6400 which gave me a bit of grain (noise) which I liked, so I converted it to B&W.
I agree the pole distracts the eye to an area of nothing, a simple fix would be to crop it out which would also improve the symmetry.

Yes, or maybe even clone the pole out and clone in some extra on the right?

The background noise in the sky makes it difficult to clone out the pole without leaving a noticeable trace, healing brush just makes things worse.
Think best result is to crop it out.
