je persiste à dire que Facebook n'est pas le site approprié aux posts de photos, au vu de surtout d'un manque de littérature, les photos ne sont pas le centre d'intérêt ou alors bloggons sur un site personnel...bien cet avis n'engage que moi; je suis dans un forum et je m'exprime! et TE reste le site approprié malgré des avntages et inconvénients comme partout

Hallo Leo,
I suggested here (05-06-2010, 08:04 PM) that they posted the link to your photo in TE Facebook page. I'm sorry that I provocked it.
Anyway, nobody publishes TE photos (other member's photos) on Facebook. There is the option to post photos on Facebook (one's photos or stolen photos). But what is in that page, they are just links with a thumbnail. See my attached image with a few examples.
You may ask to remove the link; it is reasonable; but it is not the full size photo. It is just a thumbnail like in the several pages/galleries of TrekEarth.
It may happen again in any of the the millions of pages of Facebook. We cannot avoit it (unfortunatelly, if we wished). I suppose that we don't have a legal argument to oppose such links. I guess that they can not be regarded as an illegal stolen photo.
Both Facebook and TrekEarth are American sites, I guess they do the things so that they don't have legal problems.

After several days, only now I returned here.
About FB, if I understand well, the administrator of the TE page/group in Facebook, she's also an administrator in TrekEarth. She's responsible to post our suggestions for FB and she's able to remove any post.
Anyway, the FB posts are not pictures, they are just links with thumbnails (see my today's reply to Leo). I guess that legally we cannot avoid anybody to post such links in any of the millions of FB pages.
The really stolen full size pictures are very difficult to avoid (in any site or blog). The links are impossible to avoid, I guess.

Dans la page de TE à Facebook il n'y a pas des photos des membres de TE (à moins qu'ils veulent). Dans cette page il n'y a que des liens avec des vignettes. Nous ne pouvons pas éviter tels liens de posts dans des millions de pages de Facebook.
