Eliza, nice presentation of the statue and surroundings, with good DOF that brings the monument into focus well. Interesting subject as well - I wish I could read German, as an exact translation of that would be fascinating. I find it interesting that Hitler's name doesn't appear, despite the event this commemorates.

Thanks for your comments. On this memorial plaque, there is written: "You did not bear the shame. You resisted. You bestowed an eternally vigilant symbol of change by sacrificing your impassioned lives for freedom, justice and honor". I think, I will add this to my note below picture :-) If you did not see movie with Tom Cruise "Valkyrie" - see it. It's about this plot. Maybe it's not the best role of Tom, but it tells a lot about that, what happend. I am from Poland, and this plot took place on polish land (occupied by German in this time).
