Great holmertz 2017-01-14 6:10

Hello Craig,
The activities on the site are very slow these days, but here I come. It's a great view with roughly half each of grey stones and green vegetation. I don't know what other angles you could have found, but this seems to give a good view of the castle and what I guess were defense towers. A lady in red is also nicely observed here. Are drones becoming so common that it was explicitly stated at the entrance that they were not allowed, or did you ask? Couldn't you have flown it from outside after the place was closed?
Best wishes,
Gert

Default To holmertz: drone

Hey Gert
you're probably right in that I could have flown the drone up and over the fences after everyone working there had left for the day...but then the lighting would have been poor. Also, there are ALOT of tall trees in the park which is not good for flying the drone - even with the camera/video, its hard to judge just exactly how close you are to them or how high you need to fly to avoid them. its actually quite tricky.

the other part of the equation was time. We were not staying here, so we couldn't just wait it out as we had a B&B booked in another town which we had to get to.

thanks as always
