Default Note - neutral or usefull

Could somone please tell me about the area I have noticed under the notes to pictures. It contains the possibility of marking a note as usefull or neutral. Why can I see the note under somebody elses pictures but not mine??

Best regards
Mogens

Probably because you can't rate your own note. Just like for the picture, critics and ws, you can't your own stuff.

OK, now you can view who rated your note useful. Thanks for letting me know.

It's probably just as well that we can't see who is leaving "useful" notes to our own photos. I think the idea behind such ratings should be just to give you an indication if your notes are being appreciated and not necessarily by whom.

By keeping the list invisible to the original photo contributor, people will be more inclined to be more truthful rather than thinking he or she might offend the poster by not leaving a "useful" mark along with the critique.

Just my two-cents worth, but perhaps there shouldn't be any names at all in those who judged the notes as being useful. The numbers should be enough without the names.

This is how it is with Critique ratings and many don't like this idea. I like the transparent nature of being able to see who rates what. But you make a good point as well.

Have tried to view my usful notes total under my star but the little widow it opens will not widen to show what looks like a little stroke to the right of the WS column.

I don't know about anyone else, but the default phrase "Nobody has marked this note as useful." seems an unnecessary blight on a fresh post. Perhaps it could be omitted until a rating is given?

You must have text size displaying larger on your browser. Tonight I will widen the box to take this into account. Thanks for letting me know.
