Great milloup 2004-03-30 16:16

It's a pity you can't see the eye, but apart from that it's a great capture. I've seen brumblebees this spring, but they haven't stayed around long enough to pose for a portrait yet. This macro is very sharp with good DOF. I wonder whether the brownish cluster on his side are mites?

I was thinking of mites too and looking again I am almost sure that it is what it is all about.
