Default Uploading menu......

Just a couple of queries regarding info when uploading pics:-

(a) What can you do when the shutter speed you want is not included in the drop down choices? Is the only alternative to show it in the Notes section?

(b) How do you select more than one choice in the "Category" section? e.g If you want to show a photo as "Daily Life" but also "Humourous" how do you show both when uploaded?

Thanks in anticipation for your help.

Best wishes, Vicky

Not sure about (a) Vicky, but to select multiple categories just hold the Ctrl key down as you make your selections.

Re (a), just pick the closest one. If you really think one needs to be added to the list, email [email protected]

Hi Mike,
Yes, that's what I've been doing.
Thanks very much for the info.
All the best, Vicky

Vicky there's a way to save your photos retaining the technical EXIF information, which would enable automatic reading of exposure/speed when uploading to TE and would add a link "more photo info" showing those parameters plus a few others. I checked both your Fuji and Canon pics and this info does not appear, so it means your PP program discards this info at some point, check in the save menu options if you can check an option such as "retain EXIF data" or likewise, maybe it's located where you can specify the JPG compression to be used.
BTW to view (view only) my photos and the attached info I use a convenient freeware called faststone image viewer, it is light and was designed for viewing comfort, much better imho than adobe bridge.
Hope this helps,
Jean-Yves

Thank you Jean-Yves, it does help. I have never been able to figure out how to add the link "more photo info", but have always wanted to know how to do it. It may take me a while to work it out but, with your note as a guide, I'm sure I'll get there in the end -with or without the kids' help :-)!

Thanks for your kind assistance, as always.

Vicky
