Great PDP 2004-07-23 5:02

Excellent detail of the head and eyes, and interesting to see the dragonfly grasping it's perch, do they position their wings as counter-balance?

Great work - well done.

maybe they do. duno... but this one was still as a rock and just observing me and lens moving around him :)

I always thought that was why they held them forward, though it does seem to be a good way of identifying the sympetrum family , which is a good start when trying to name an unknown dragonfly
