Hi Gert,
Thanks for your message! Don't worry, the birds were already dead (don't know how they were killed though...) On the whole, I bet that chickens are happier in Asia where they can run freely in the streets than in the western countries in the poultry farms where they have 1 squared cm/animal and eat their own excrements...
