Hi Toba!
Yes, indeed it looks like from the Death Valley, but after Crete ("my" island) is well known for its wild, arid landscapes! Excellent composition and framing, great light managment and colours! Congratulations!

PS. Crete doesn't belong to Kyklades. It's a diferent region with 4 Prefectures: Lasithi, Iraklion, Rethimno and Hania.
