Hi Cora, I found you shot when browsing pictures from Wilmington. We've been on the same walking trip (south downs trail) heading to the Long Man. the picture I took (well, beautiful rapeseed) might come from the same hill like yours! of course mine was taken in fall, that's why yellow turned in brownish colors. could you pls tell me what was the date of taking that picture. that's m dream to be there in the best possible moment. start of may will be fine? sharpness isn't most important in that distance shot but I'm gonna take a tripod with me ;) greets, great picture!

Hi there! Thanks for your post. I took this shot early May, there was rapeseed absolutely everywhere! But it does depend on the kind of spring you have, as it does vary slightly from year to year. This was literally taken right on the path leading up to the bottom of the Long Man, only about 200m away I'd say. Tripod would definitely help but I didn't feel like lugging mine over the 12 miles or whatever we walked that day! Good luck!
