Great plimrn 2006-10-28 18:33

Hi Adrian,
I like the way you've framed the boats coming into the harbor. Your excellent light management shows in the excellent cloud detail.

Being a fisheman is truly a special way of life and it's sad to see many people lose a way life of life they love. We have a friend who fished salmon in Alaska who found his market wiped out by farmed salmon. The Newfoundland fishery was devastated by large factory ships that destroy everything in the wake of their huge nets dragging the bottom. There are whole villages that are unemployed.

I had long wanted to visit the Sea of Cortez because of John Steinbecks's book. When I visited it ten years ago, I was surprised to find so many areas stripped clean of all marine life that clings to rocks.

Sorry I didn't mean to get off on a rant, but the sea and everything to do with it is very close to heart.
Regards, Pat

Default To dragonslayero: schoolgirls

Hi Odd,

I left the girls there because I think this girl was a part of that group so it seemed interesting that she was away from the other girls. Also because I had another shot that I planned to crop differently and not include the other girls.

Thanks for your comments.
