Great holmertz 2022-08-22 7:57

Hello Bev,
These three pictures are all very interesting and also photographically attractive. The light was surprisingly good for such an old building. Maybe the rooms were deliberately designed to facilitate the children's studies. You mention that Wilderspin's ideas were 100 years ahead of their time, and these rooms and their furnishing look surprisingly modern. Do you know if everything dates back to the 1840's or was re-enacted more recently?
Best regards,
Gert

Thank you for your interest, Gert.

The building was still working as a school until the 1970's when it was going to be made redundant. Fortunately, someone realised its significance in the history of the world education and saved it.

The building is as it was.
There are renovations but not rebuilds.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
