Hello Beverley,
I think I've seen the Paragon Arcade on this site before, but I can't remember whose photo it was and I can't find it immediately either. But it is definitely a magnificent arcade.
Of your main photo I thought it was strange that it was taken in the month of July.
In my memory we never saw such sky in Belgium during that month and I thought that England also experienced the driest and sunniest summer ever.
The dark clouds clearly give the photo of the modern complex a more dramatic quality.
Best regards, Paul

Default To PaulVDV: Weather in England

Thank you for your critique, Paul.

In answer to your question, we have had remarkably dry and hot weather too.
Although you see clouds on this day, the weather was warm and the rain did not happen!

On the site where we were staying, the owner said they had had no significant rain since March; this was in August! The land was very hard and dry!

In Lancashire, where I live, we have had significantly more rain than on the east coast but much less than normal. The reservoirs were extremely depleted.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)
