Looking through your photos I have noticed this one because I have the feeling it could be improved just by choosing a different location a few steps away on the left.
The edge of the lake looks like a road and this road ends straight in the hill.
Go 5m on the left and this edge will turn onto a V shape way with the part after the corner, and it would bring more dynamism.
Make the V start from the bottom right corner, keep 2/3 for the ground 1/3 for the sky and the tower at the same place... it should tell a complete different story.
If you have the chance to go back there and to give it a try.

Hi David,
Thanks for taking a look through some of my shots...i believe i could improve on many of my shots...exactly why i joined TE. You are spot on about this shot-a sweeping line of the reservoir leading the eye up towards the tower would be a great improvement on this effort. I was there today but the air was so hazy-rendering any attempt pointless. Thanks again, David.
