Great holmertz 2020-08-12 9:03

Hello Paul,
I am sure a trek like the one you made would have been good enough for me. I rather suspect the trekking industry wasn't yet very developed in the 1970's, so it really never occurred to me to do anything like this. I was happy enough to ride my bike across the Kathmandu valley.
These views may not be the most spectacular in Nepal, but you show us anyway beautiful sceneries with very nice terraces. In the WS panorama of the white peaks the trees make quite a nice foreground. In the main photo I appreciate the inclusion of two trekkers, one of them a lady carrying red. (You did as well as was possible) ;-).
Best regards,
Gert

Default To holmertz: By bike today

Thank you Gert,

A bike ride through Kathmandu Valley?
Far away from Kathmandu it will still be possible, I guess. Today the road between Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur is a real source of irritation. Over-saturated with motorbikes and cars, a lot of pollution and dust.

All the best !
Paul

1972, those were the days! Clean air and no cars.
Cheers,
Gert
