Lightbulb To korbee: The magical moment

Hi Jan

I dont sleep well most nights but the night leading into this dawn was particularly bad.

I woke before 5am got out of bed and watched the world change as it came alive.

Well maybe not the world as it was one of the most out of the way places in Scotland but you know what i mean.

The sky came alive one bit at a time as the sun came up the light drizzle that caused the bow came on, now most people would have went back to bed and missed all the fun. Some would even have went back inside when the drizzle started but a great tip in landscape photography has to be hang around for a few more mins and see what happens.

This was brought back to me today when i watched a television program talking about taking stunning pictures.

None of the info was particularly new to me or revolutionary but it was all new to the guys being taught by the legendary landscape photographer Charlie Waite.

He said the same thing get out when the weathers changing, this is the best time as the sky is changing and the shadows are coming alive.

I aint a trendsetter in this game hell i aint even very good at it to be honest but sometimes being there is all that matters.

John
