you know I like these, its a place I knew nothing about, but through TE i am aware...this is a great website - I hope it will be able to survive. I'm so impressed with all these buildings, and how they're able to be constructed. just amazing, photos will never do it justice. Sorry for the ignorant question....but people still live here correct? its still an active site? cheers

To answer your questions, Craig:
Yes, the place is occupied by male monks. For some reason they not allow women even as visitors, and visiting only available one day on any week. Some sort of an abstinence by tradition. Thanks, Ike
