Yet another photo that really appeals to me Winifred. I miss the tidal changes, which in Norway, where we are at the moment, are very minimal, and nowhere near as interesting as those in the East Neuk o' Fife.
For me, the blue boat is a distraction, and I am far more interested in the zonation of the brown seaweeds. The 'tide mark' shows the tidal movements well, but I suspect it gets even lower than this.
The red boat, with its smiling reflection, needs no visit to the dental hygienist!

Yes, sometimes the water is right out of this 'haven', as you can see in some of my other photos. I think it's the white part of the blue boat that's distracting - another time I would darken just that part. Are you an expert on seaweeds? I noticed you referred to the bladderwrack by its latin name in another post. I hope you are having warmer air than we have, this week. Not like May at all, but the sun has been blazing. I saw a 'sundog' this evening, presumably caused by volcanic ash? Best wishes, Winifred

Sea weed expert
Dear Winifred, I am not an expert on anything at all
 However, when I was at Uni, there was a an absolutely wonderful field trip to Aberystwyth, which reinforced my love of the sea, and we did a lot of work on zonation both of seaweeds and barnacles. With the camera I'm using now, I have managed to get a photo of barnacles feeding. It won't be posted on TE as it's a bit too specialised, and the thumbnail is most unprepossessing I am just going out in a minute to take some photos of primroses, which I hope will show the difference between the thrum-eyed and pin-eyed forms. I don't think I have ever seen a sundog, although I have seen photos of them of course. Did you manage to get a photo? Warm wishes, Amelia
