Hi Nikolai,
I love seascapes, especially of rough seas like this. I can imagine being showered with waves may not have been to your liking but your capture of the stormy sea is very impressive. Are the colours real, though? There seems to be a reddish tinge in the midtones... TFS.
Kind regards,

Hej Gert,
thanks for a most comprehensive critique! Yes, right you are...
And you've expressed all my thoughts and hesitations before posting the photo!
I don't know which of these two photos is better - still can't decide because they are slightly different - but I didn't want to post them as two separate shots as I don't like to post 2 photos of the same subject

Regarding the overexposure... yes there is some. unfortunately it was not shot in RAW format with manual settings (it would have allowed me to avoid overexposure), it was a quick shot with my camera's settings as "sports" (action), and I didn't have enough time to change the settings

Re those people sitting at the nearby cafes... I guess I should consider myself lucky to capture this scene with the minimum number of people around! there were lots of tourists... they were everywhere! they blocked the view, they didn't care if I was shooting or not...
so that's how it was!

kind regards,
