Great nagalaut 2018-11-30 2:43

Hello James,
The thumbnail reminded me of a SciFi launch tube. With the larger image I was impressed by how well centered the opening to the sky is, and with how well that works in this case.
Did you lay on your back to take the photo and, if so, how strangely did passerby's look at you?
Did you experiment with different apertures as I wonder if a greater depth of focus would have enhanced the image?

No, not supine - more bent over backwards!
Not enough light really to play with the F stops too much - but you're right - if I go back there (or if I find myself in a similar situation), I'll think about it!
