and thank you very much for your comment! Speaking about arresting photographers in Moscow... I have not seen any! In fact, some days ago I read in the news that it is now officially forbidden to take photos of some (actually, a lot!) objects in Moscow (including Metro stations), and you can be arrested for that. But, as the officials stated, this ban refers only to taking photos with hifi professional equipment (photo- and videocameras, using professional tripods and lighting lamps. I took photos at one of the underground stations in front of a policeman looking at me from the other end of the platform, and he didn't pay any attention to me (and besides me there was a man taking photos, too). so far things are ok ;) best regards, Elena |

Thank you so much for very kind and useful reply. It was an occurrence at Облучье on the Trans-Siberian Railway this year. It is a very far place. I'd like to get on the Trans-Siberian express once. Best wishes, Hisashi |
