Thanks for your tips. Only, I must have missed something because when I try them I get a photo size of over 1 MB! At only 72 pixels resolution (density) my photo is still too large. How about the dimensions for Document Size?

72 pixels density is enough for publishing on the web. You don't need 180 dpi for that, that's fine if you are going to a print service.
You can compress more, that way you can decrease the filesize, don't do it to much though, the photo will be come ugly. (jpef artifacts will appear, also the photo's will be come more blocky)
There should be enough software on the net to resize the photo.
However if the shot is taken at this small size, don't push it up to very big sizes. Good luck.
