Firstly, they don't call it a promenade or esplanade, but a 'corniche'. I only know this because of the Corniche in Alexandria along the seafront. Most of this was in place when I visited Luxor in 2016 but the shops seen here look new. There are 144 or 237 photos on this Trip Advisor site. Tfs

Hello Chris, Thank you for the link. I saw all the photos but they show mainly the upper level, so maybe the lower level was not ready in 2016. Now there were fewer boats for Nile cruises.
Corniche is the name of such street along the water - river, lake or sea - in many Arabic countries, like in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Doha in Qatar, Abu Dhabi. Best regrads MAlgo |
